Werewolves fact and fiction on art, AWIL, vampires

January 25, 2008 By: Buddy Category: Werewolves!! No Comments →

Alright I agree, let’s move on to werewolf facts! And I have all the answers to your lycan questions…

  • Werewolf fact or fiction #1 Answer: Werewolves from London? Alot of people like to think so because of the movie which popularized werewolf culture - An American Werewolf In London (AWIL) (sidenote - did you know there is a song called “Werewolves of London” performed by Warren Zevon? although it is not in the AWIL movie soundtrack…but I digress..). Back to business, I dont know if werewolves are from London! …the word “werewolf” seems to be derived from Old English, however references to werewolves - lycan- can be found as far back as Greek mythology!
  • Werewolf fact or fiction #2 Answer: Yes, there is no question that the vampire vs. werewolves battle is real and ever-present. How can these two exist simultaneously? They both need humans as a food source, and isnt it basic nature to battle over food source? Also, I think it’s a fact that vampires seem to think they’re above everyone and everything. They see werewolves as just animals.
  • Werewolf fact or fiction #3 Answer: Yes, there are good werewolves. This was my point in that werewolves are not inherently evil! Although I have to agree, there are probably fewer numbers of these werewolves.
  • Werewolf fact or fiction #4 Answer: Werewolf art is very popular among lycan and fantasy artwork collectors.

Quick sidenote - what is one of your favorite werewolf pictures of werewolf artwork?

(oops, I just realized I missed one of your  questions on if people have taken real pictures of werewolves…I’ll get back to this in a moment…)

werewolves - fact or fiction

Ok, we can probably agree on some of these points but not completely on if werewolves have a soul or not. Humans on the other hand are of course not evil when they are not in their werewolf transformation. Keep tabs on one… you’ll see what i’m talking about :)

Lets pushed that debate to the side for a bit.

So then, lets move on; you say we should review the facts about werewolves?

Here is a listing of questions about werewolves what do you think of each one?

werewolves: fact or fiction?

  • the first werewolf is from London
  • vampires and werewolves are always at war with each other
  • In addition to horror monster stories of werewolves- stories of “good” werewolves often surface (hah, we discussed some of this about the wolves)
  • real people have snapped pictures of werewolves and sometimes even “blog” about them
  • thousands of pieces of art, seeming to be real, exist on werewolves

Werewolf fact: Werewolves are evil, soul unknown

January 16, 2008 By: Buddy Category: Werewolves!! 8 Comments →

Dear werewolf 967,

OK, I will agree that if a werewolf is evil, then he is under the influence of the devil or one of the devil’s henchmen…(since the devil is of course also evil).  And I will also agree that if a werewolf is evil, then the fact is that he is in no way good for humans…which is why we’re always trying to kill them with silver bullets.

So, I won’t dig out werewolf stories or werewolf novels or even werewolf movies as reference, I’ll just tell you what I believe…I believe that if I came face-to-face with a real werewolf and looked in his eyes, he’d probably tear me to pieces - with no mercy. I wouldn’t have enough time to see if he had a soul or not. But, this does not mean that the werewolf has no soul!!  When the werewolf transformed, he was infected by the werewolf virus  or disease (we agree on that part at least), the full moon came out and conflicted with the virus to cause the werewolf transformation (we agree on that)….and then he went from basic human instinct to animal instinct. But the transformation gave him a “rabid-dog” animal instinct-type mentality.  So, your question is could I look into the eyes of a rabid dog and still see his soul? (and you say this would be about equal to if a werewolf has a soul).  Well, my answer is there is not time to decide because you’ll be torn apart to pieces! By either rabid dog or the transformed werewolf!

So in summary, perhaps we can agree that we will never know if a werewolf has a soul (or if a rabid dog has one for that matter either).  Not unless we ourselves transformed into werewolves would we know….and we can also agree on this werewolf fact: being torn apart while you’re still alive is an act of evil…and there is no doubt that a werewolf will tear you apart.  So, we can say that werewolves are evil, OK.  And, as you say, evil is ultimately commanded by the devil. OK. But I don’t think we’ll know if he has a soul or not! And my next question would be…assumming a werewolf is evil…is a non-transformed werewolf evil? (in other words, a werewolf in his human form?)  That doesn’t really have much to do with the werewolf transformation itself, but while we’re talking about werewolf facts, we might as well review that too!

Werewolves have a soul?

Buddy and readers,

My statement on werewolves being under command directly by the devil may not be true, but, if the devil rules all evil and the werewolf is evil, whomever is directing him is pure evil and thus closely commanded by the devil. What I am saying is that if Mr. Werewolf is not commanded by the devil, the evil that does command the “person” commanding him is controlled by the devil. Kind of confusing?

I’m quite certain we can agree that when the Mr. Werewolf does bite a human that the person will be infected by the disease of the werewolf regardless of whether it is a female or male werewolf to be, this transformation will be done in no time! Movies just like to drag it out to show off their cgi and maybe make the movie longer.

Now, under the transformation by the full moon -  The rabid dog is our example, yes he is physically the same dog as before, but when you look into his eyes can you “feel” his soul? I think not, so please tell me where his soul is and what it is doing? Perhaps while the werewolf is under possession of the werewolf “disease” of the full moon his soul would leave and then return to him while Mr. Werewolf returns to his human state. I don’t think we can base this on whether animals have a soul or not, a dog, cat, etc…This is a rather grueling debate among many stories and philosophers. We have to base this on pure evil. Does the devil and his associates have a soul?

If you can tell me that you can look into Mr. Werwolves eyes and find a soul then I will agree he has one.

Fact: The evil of a werewolf is unnecessary and in no way benefits humans.

Fact: The evil of the werewolf does not teach us that “oh, there is! evil out there.”

Fact: The evil of the werewolf is an anomaly caused by the devil which teaches us nothing.

We need to agree on this part of the werewolf transformation without digging out stories that have already been told about werewolves. Then we can continue the sequence of events on how the animal will transform.

Evil Possessions cause werewolves to transform?

Werewolf967 -
You think that werewolves are the ultimate evil under straight command from the devil???!!! This is a huge statement!!!

I will get to this in a minute, but first let me address infection vs. possession:

Since it is true that werewolves do transform under the full moon - and there are very few legends that dont conform to this theory - then we can say with pretty definite certainty that there is no question the moon has something to do with the transformation. But I’m not quite ready to say yet that it’s a demonic possession…think about this….Have you heard that during the full moon there are many more accidents and crimes than normal? Have you heard that sometimes people (normal human people) act very strange during the full moon - getting in bad moods or funks that they’re usually free from the rest of the month? The moon and it’s cycles influence normal people! Well, instead of a possession…could it just be that the werewolf infection is causing the person to have an increased sensitivity to the moon’s influence? Thus, when the moon comes out, anyone that is “infected” will be heavily influenced by the moon - which might appear to be a possession, but really is not!

Just think about that for a minute.

Now, if I do decide to go along with you for a minute and say ok, a werwolf transforms because he is possessed.   I still do not say that he has no soul! Let’s go back to the rabid dog for example. Rabies is an illness of the central nervous system causing an inflammation of the brain. It can be spread by saliva through bites. It causes animals (or humans) to act abnormal…and sometimes to act aggressive…it causes headaches and fevers and itching and pain…hallucinations, and confusion…. now, if you were a rabid dog going through this, of course you would not be able to be reasoned with!! you’re hallucinating and in pain so of course there will be no reasoning with you! but this does not mean that you have no soul! or that your soul has been possessed by evil. It merely means that you are very, very sick with the rabies virus.

I agree the infection starts with the werewolf virus…but I am still not so certain that it is the devil that takes over.  Give me proof it is and evil possession that takes over! Proof! SLAP!
