Thought I’d just share some werewolf history and info on what I’ve found on how far back you can find references to werewolves. A 1978 book by Ian Woodward called THE WEREWOLF DELUSION: A fully documented, thoroughly researched investigation into the world of the werewolf says that the Vikings may have brought the werewolf folklore into the Americas and introduced it to Native American tribes. Going farther back, it is thought that the werewolf originated in ancient Persia in paleolithic times (in other words, the stone age). Almost every culture has some knowledge of the werewolf. Check out the names for what a werewolf is called in other countries.

Buddy, you look like a dog. Are you sure you’re not a weredog?
I am looking for leads on my best friend’s killers. They were werewolves. And you probably already know this, but there is an armistice being called for between weredogs and werewolves. So, maybe we can talk. If you would help me find Rex’s killers it would go a long way toward peace between our werekind.
I have some more information on werehistory, for dogs and wolves, and the war that has gone on between us for eons. I will post about that on my blog.
Chester
Hi Chester…. You’re a weredog? or a werewolf? Can you tell me more about the armistice between weredogs and werewolves? Also, what is your blog? I cannot say that I am actually a weredog, although I can see why you think I look that way.
hey guys. okay, so what IS the difference of a weredog and werewolf? Me, I’m a werewolf, but Ive never heard of a weredog???
Hi Emily,
weredogs are like werewolves, except instead of a person turning into a wolf, it’s a person that turns into a dog. I made a post about it here http://ilovewerewolves.com/blog/werewolves-and-weredogs/
