Blue Moon & Partial Lunar Eclipse on New Year’s Eve!
Tonight on New Year’s Eve, there’s going to be alot of moon activity – this is going to be one of the biggest nights for werewolves that there’s been in a long time! First, part of the world will be ringing in the new year with a partial lunar eclipse that is supposed to be visible tonight from the Eastern Hemisphere (this includes places like Russia). A lunar eclipse is when the moon enters the Earth’s shadow…in the partial case, it’s going to be partially dark by the Earth’s shadow. There are some astrologers that believe that a new year heralded by a lunar eclipse spells bad luck. Don’t be too worried though, as others say there is no truth to this myth.
Besides the partial lunar eclipse, much of the rest of the world – including the United States, Europe, Africa, Canada, and South America, will be seeing a Blue Moon on the night of New Year’s Eve – Thursday, December 31st. A blue moon is the second full moon in a month – which is very rare event. The event is actually so rare, that the last one was close to 20 years ago… the next Blue Moon won’t occur again until the year 2028.
With all this lunar activity, werewolves are very likely to feel the effects on themselves – be ready to feel extremely energized, refreshed, and excited. Tonight is a night you may be likely to transform involuntarily if you’re a newer werewolf. Remember that humans will be out in full force tonight because it is New Year’s Eve, so do your best to maintain control. Have a safe night everybody!
