This question came up in one of the comments, and I think it’s very good. It is well known that vampires have the ability to summon people…they can in many cases hypnotize a human by looking into his/her eyes and make the human do what they want. Some vampires are reported to also have some kind of ability to call mentally, so that they’ll “summon” a person just be calling that person in their minds.
Interestingly, this technique does not work on werewolves. The werewolf in human form (or in wolf form) would not be influenced by any of these abilities of the vampire. Although the werewolf would be able to hear the summoning, he just would not be influenced by it. This is good and bad. On the plus, this gives the vampire little control over werewolves, and, since werewolves can hear the summons, it also gives the werewolf a clue that someone is a vampire. On the minues side however, this is a ready clue to vampires on if someone is a werewolf or not, so it makes it that much more difficult for werewolves to disguise themselves from vampires.
