Every person has an animal guide according to some cultures. You may have heard of this idea most commonly from Native American beliefs, however the concept does not stop there and is actually quite pervasive across many different cultures. You’ll find the idea going by many names, however one of the most commonly held terms for this idea is that of the “animal totem”.

A person’s animal totem is a guide that walks beside them during a small portion, a large portion, or even the entirety of a person’s life. The totem is considered an “animal guide” that connects to you, protects you, and teaches you through your life. Sometimes one animal guide will walk with you, and then as your needs or life changes, your animal guide will change as well…so you can in fact have different animal guides during the course of your life.

For some, identifying their animal totem is a relatively simple task – it happens almost automatically and a person just knows what their animal guide is. For others however, the process is not quite so simple and it can take time to identify their animal totem.

The process for identifying your animal totem involves self-analyzation and self-discovery. It’s about getting in touch with your inner self and accepting who you are. It’s about finding your spiritual identity. It’s about building upon and embracing the best of yourself. Finding your animal totem can help you understand, discover, and access hidden qualities about yourself.

What does an animal totem do?

Animal totems are positive forces of strength and energy in your life. You will find them guiding you throughout your life, advising you during difficult situations, inspiring you in trying times, teaching you about your potential, and protecting you from conflict.

If you are trying to identify your animal totem, here are some tips to help the process.

1. Relax. Sometimes we try so hard to discover or identify something that it does nothing but block the process. Take a few deep breaths and relax. Let your mind settle and see what thoughts come.

2. Now that you are relaxed, think about what animals you identify with. What type of animals are you drawn to? Which ones compel you? Which ones do you find most interesting or fascinating for some unknown reason?

3. Think about your dreams. What animals occur or recur in your dreams? If you don’t remember, get a journal to keep by your bed. Start documenting your dreams as soon as you wake up, trying to remember traces and feelings. What animals did you see or feel around you? You may be surprised to discover a theme that emerges.

4. Some people find meditation works for them. Go ahead and try it… simply find a nice quiet room or place that is calm and has no distractions. Sit, close your eyes, relax, and clear your mind. Many people find their animal totems identify themselves in the silence.

It can be difficult to find girl werewolves. As I’ve discussed before, be it on television, in novels or books, or in myths and legends, most werewolves that are shown, described, or remembered are the male werewolves.

But girl werewolves do exist. The easiest way to find them is to be a werewolf yourself. Werewolves are able to detect other werewolves using their enhanced senses much easier than a human could detect a werewolf. But, as a human, there is still hope.

So, how do you find a girl werewolf?

1. Pheromones
If you are a male (and a werewolf yourself), you can try using your pheromones. Female werewolves are subconsciously attracted to male werewolf pheromones much the same way human females are attracted to human male pheromones. What is a pheromone? A pheromone is an odorless chemical that your body secretes that triggers a (sometimes and most often subconscious) response from others. Pheromones can and do attract others of the opposite sex. In humans and werewolves they are found in sweat, and both humans and werewolves secrete pheromones. So, if you are a werewolf, a little bit of outdoor physical exercise which generates some sweat will naturally help attract girl werewolves. One thing to keep in mind however is that a little bit (not an excessive amount) of “clean” sweat will do the job. An excessive amount of sweat where you start smelling will not work, and you should shower. Remember, pheromones are odorless.

2. Sense of Smell
If you are a werewolf, you can also use your sense of smell. A werewolf’s sense of smell is much stronger than a human’s sense of smell, so you will be able to smell things that as a human you may not have smelled. A girl werewolf will smell slightly different from a human girl. They will have a slightly sweeter, more earthy smell. This technique is unlikely to work for a human – to humans, both human girls (and werewolf girls) are unlikely to smell different.

3. Attraction for no reason
Whether or not your are a werewolf or a human, this technique will work. Keep your eye out for girls that may not appear to be remarkably beautiful but somehow are attracting alot of male attention. The attention will not appear to be generated by any type of provocative clothing or behavior. The girl (may) or more likely may not be traditionally beautiful in any type of “model” way, but you will nonetheless find her incredibly beautiful in the “there’s just something about her” way.

First, the question is, are you looking for how to become a werewolf? If so, you might want to check out these werewolf facts, myths, and legends which give the most common methods as written in texts, stories, and manuscripts, of how one becomes a werewolf.

If however, you are looking for information on how to be a werewolf once you are already one – well, that is a question that is hard to answer. The best answer anyone can give you is being a werewolf is something that cannot be taught, but rather is a state of being.

Generally, however, there are a few commonalities amongst werewolves…

1. werewolf emotions are strong – Werewolves generally feel things very deeply – this is due to the nature of who they are – they are more in tune with their environment and with other humans which in turn affect their attitude, understanding, and response to the surrounding world.

2. werewolves are confident – Werewolves do not generally like to be the center of attention, but this does not mean that they are weak or easily intimidated, merely that they are confident in who they are. Werewolves will meet a person eye to eye, and stand their ground if needed.

3. werewolves listen and pay attention – much more than other creatures, werewolves pay attention to details…they know when someone comes in the room, when someone leaves, if someone is approaching. They read body language, and have some of their own. They use all their senses to their fullest – using their senses of smell, sight, and hearing to abosrb the world around them.

4. werewolves are more than human – while werewolves can co-exist peacefully with humans, they are always aware that they are different. They are stronger, faster, smarter. This colors how humans perceive them.

In India, the Brahmaparusha is the name of a type of vampire that brings nightmares to those that know of them. Their appearance is much to blame, as it is said that they wear human intestines around their head! The grotesque display is meant as a form of “bragging”, showing anyone that dares look at him his awful power.

This vampire is not to be mistaken as having any type of soft spot of kindness for humanity, as it is designed to terrify and then consume humans. Besides the costume of intestines, it also enjoys devouring brains, giving it the fearsome nickname the “brain-eating-vampire”. In addition, the Brahmaparusha is a bit of a showman, and when it is thirsty does not like to simply suck blood from a human neck, but rather will fill a skull with blood and drink directly from the skull – further enhancing its terrifying appearance and actions.

Did you think New Orleans was only the home of vampires? Think again!

Cajun legends cite stories of werewolves that haunt the dreary New Orleans Louisiana swamps. These werewolves are known to natives as the “swamp ape” because of their tendencies to stay in the swamp-filled lowlands. Others call them the “rougarou” (or, other spellings you might see include “Rugaru”, “Roux-Ga-Roux”, or “Rugaroo”). Some historians say that the word “rougarou” actually originated from the French word “Loup Garou” (which means werewolf), and indeed in Louisiana the two terms can sometimes be used interchangeably. It is also worth noting that the Rugaru is sometimes associated with Native American legends, although whether or not the association is a true one or simply a loose connection is debatable.

The rougarou are slightly different from the “traditional” more common form of werewolf, and even different from the traditional Loup Garou. Rougarou are said to have the head of a wolf, and the body of a human.

In addition, the stories and legends surrounding the rougarou vary, but many seem to cite that the creature is “cursed” to be human during the day, and the “rougarou” at night. During the night when it is in it’s dangerous form, it sucks the blood from humans to quench its craving for humans, (similar to vampires). In addition, it is said that the “curse” of the rougarou is spread by its bite which infects the victim with the werewolf virus.

Another common legend related to this creature says that the rougarou hunts Catholics that break the rules and observances of Lent, the time of fasting and repentance prior to Easter.

Here are a couple of options for homemade affordable wolf masks:

1.
2. This mask is an elegant machine embroidered Halloween “She-Wolf” mask ready for a Halloween night dinner party or evening on the town. It might match up great with a dress or outfit from your closet! $15

She-Wolf Halloween Mask

I cannot guarantee that the wolf masks will make it to you in time for Halloween but it might be worth emailing the artist to find out if they can get something out to you before the scariest night of the year gets here! Here is a list of some of the most legendary songs ever released that, often times, strike fear into mind of the listener…

1. The 1978 Halloween movie theme song. Envisioned by the creator of the Halloween movie himself, John Carpenter, this classic is score is iconic and arguably unbeatable by any other horror film ever produced.

2. The Monster Mash. Originally released in the 1960′s, the song was written by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and hit number one on the music charts during the Halloween holiday that very same year.

3. Psycho movie theme song. The original Psycho movie was created from the visionary mind of the legendary Alfred Hitchcock. Hitchcock hand picked Bernard Herrmann to produce the score for this iconic horror movie soundtrack.

Most notable of the soundtrack is the “shower scene” in the movie Psycho. This piece is recognized as a bone chilling sound that will make the bravest person squirm in their seat!

4. The Exorcist movie theme song. In 1973 a movie so scary that many dared not to watch… and to this day many of those same people dare never to watch it again. This movie is so scary that in some instances towns around the world banned the release of the movie. The Exorcist horror movie has been dubbed the “scariest movie of all time” by several different outlets.

We have all seen it… the classic movie scene where the human (or sometimes even the animal) gets tricked into running into an animal trap designed to keep the victim alive. But would it be possible to trap a werewolf in a transformed state in this very same manner?

Well, odds are that most werewolves are too smart to be scammed into being trapped in the first place. But sometimes these types of animal traps can be hidden so good that only the person who set the trap would even know it was there. So it is possible on very rare occasions to come across a werewolf in a live animal trap hanging from a tree.

The werewolf gets caught in the net trap, now what?
Well, the werewolf has soo many things working for him (or her) in this situation, including sharp claws, body weight, eyesight, and fangs. At this point it is up to the werewolf to decide which “power” he would like to use to break loose from the trap.

Is a live trap even strong enough to hold a werewolf?

In most cases the weight of the werewolf alone is enough to break the trap. It is extremely difficult to trap a werewolf and the hunter would have to be aware that the werewolf has an above average body weight. The hunter would have to anticipate and foresee putting the trap in a tree that could hold the werewolf body weight, he would also have to add a counterbalance that would even be able to lift the werewolf. The hunter would need to have a net with rope that is the proper gauge too! If the rope is not thick enough it would not even hold the werewolf or even be able to lift it into the tree to begin with!

Should the werewolf be worried about live animal traps?

Probably not! It is rare to find a werewolf in such a trap and even if he were to be caught in rope it is easy enough for the werewolf to break! The werewolf would break free with strength! Or he could cut the rope with razor sharp claws, or gnaw at it with sharp fangs!

For the most part the werewolf should not worry about common live animal rope traps.
