Hemlock Grove is scheduled to premiere on April 19, 2013. It is based on the novel of the same name by Brian McGreevy.

The story centers around a crime investigation in Pennsylvania and the search for the true perpetrator of the crime. One of the main characters is a gypsy who is rumored to be a werewolf! (is he or isn’t he?) The one thing that you can bet on for sure with the series is that they say there will be monsters a-plenty!

I’ve never watched a Netflix “original series” before, so have no idea how this is going to be, one thing that seems especially good is that all 13 episodes will be released at once so if you’re enjoying it, no need to wait week to week…you can watch them all in a row!

There are a few movies that depict the female shift – most notably, there is the She Wolf Of London. (Yes, I also wonder what the obsession is with London and werewolves!!)

The original movie was a film from 1946 about a series of vicious attacks that hit London. Detectives start investigating a supposed “wolf-woman” that may be responsible for the attacks. Who is the She Wolf of London?

The Werewolf Transformation Synopsis- The Big Bang Theory (SPOILER)!!

(Synopsis) As she works on scientific discoveries in her lab, Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler will accidentally stumble upon the werewolf transformation disease that infects humans and gives them their shape-shifting curse. Amy will immediately trust nobody with her secret and discovery – not even her best friend Penny – knowing the profoundly ill effects that could result if the world ever found out that werewolf transformations are possible.  There is one exception of course – she can tell her secret to her “boyfriend” Sheldon! – Can’t she?

 

After Amy shares her hair-raising discovery with Sheldon, Dr. Cooper weighs the pros and cons of testing the new found laboratory experiment, but where should he test it? On an animal? A dog perhaps? No! The source of werewolf infection must be safe guarded and kept secret. Dr. Cooper soon realizes the only way to safely test the werewolf disease is to infect himself!

 

Sheldon infects himself and battles with the curse for days, keeping it a secret from his best friends, including his roommate Leonard Hofstadter.  Leonard gets suspicious, however he never figures out what is happening to Sheldon!

 

It is not long before the full moon arrives and Sheldon transforms into a werewolf! And with the werewolf transformation comes the longing to feed! But who would be the easiest target? Leonard? Penny? Dr. Cooper has a moral conflict of who might taste better, but there is no question that somebody will need to be sacrificed to the beast he has now become…

 

Meanwhile, after Sheldon’s transformation, his friends become suspicious – particularly Raj and Howard. The two of them decide they have to contain the monster. Howard builds a device that will keep the monster locked up with minimal harm to all of the humans. It seems however that Raj understands the werewolf culture; he knows werewolves are serious business! Does Raj have a dirty hairy secret as well? Is his entire family infected? Is his sister, Ms. Koothrappali, a werewolf?  Could Leonard have been dating a girl werewolf and never knew it?!? Only time will tell if Raj reveals the cure to the curse!!

1.  Perhaps the best and easiest reason to love the Super Bowl is that it occupies humans on a massive scale.  And I mean a MASSIVE scale…..almost all humans in the United States are occupied watching football!  Even if they can’t watch it on TV, they say that many humans will be watching the Super Bowl 2012 online.  Last year 111 million people watched the Super Bowl, and this year it’s predicted to be even higher – that’s more than half the United States population zoned out like zombies!  This means it’s an ideal time for a werewolf to be out unnoticed!  Second only to Halloween in opportunity, Super Bowl Sunday poses an excellent opportunity for werewolves to just be themselves.  In fact, even if a human did notice a werewolf in werewolf form, they’d just think it was part of the Super Bowl madness!!

2.  The full moon is only 2 days away!  The next full moon is on February 7 – 2 days from today.  What this means is that werewolves will feel their power building, and newer werewolves may even start some shifting.  The days leading up to the full moon are some of the best days of the month for the werewolf.  And the fact that you may feel shifting or the pull of the moon starting poses no problems with most humans occupied!!

3.  There is a Super Bowl ad that decimates the vampires!  Yes, perhaps – just perhaps – there is a werewolf up there with the suits at NBC, because one of the ads that will be airing is all about vampires.  In fact, it’s oddly anti-vampire!   Interestingly enough, one vampire inadvertently destroys all the other vampires.  Mere accident?  I think not!  Watch the Vampire Super Bowl Ad!

4.  And finally, it cannot go unmentioned that meat is big on the Super Bowl day.  And what werewolf doesn’t love meat?  In fact, wings are the most popular Super Bowl food…so chances are, even if you don’t like watching the Super Bowl, the food being served during it is a werewolf’s delight!

Bugs outsmarts a vampire in Transvania 6-5000! Poor Bugs is headed to Pittsburgh, Penssylvania but instead ends up in “Pittsburghe Transylvania. While there he meets a vampire (Count Bloodcount) who offers him hospitality – but the vampire wants more than to just make friends! He wants to drink bloooooddd! Is Bugs smart enough to defeat a Transylvanian vampire!? You’ll have to watch to find out

5 Facts About The Count from Sesame Street:

1. He is a vampire, and he does have fangs, but he does not drink blood!
2. When he was originally created he was actually really spooky and somewhat scary – he had an “evil” laugh that had thunder in the background and crazy lighting accenting his laugh. He also lived in a scary castle with bats flying around. The modern day Count is a little bit different and not quite as “scary”.
3. His real name is “Count Von Count”.
4. The count is not afraid of the sunlight! He loves to be outside! In fact, probably the only “true” vampire quality he has is that he does not have a reflection in the mirror!
5. The Count has pet bats and a pet cat.

The 1987 Werewolf TV series is about a graduate student named Eric whose best friend gets infected and becomes a werewolf. Eric ends up using a silver bullet against his friend, but not before his friend bites him, infecting him. As his friend is dying, he tells Eric how he can free himself from the werewolf curse. According to him, there are three ways – by his own hand, by being shot by a silver bullet, or by destroying the werewolf that created the “bloodline”. Eric of course chooses the last option, and the TV show follows his path as he tries to find the werewolf that started it.
