find the werewolf inside
Imagine the wind curling its fingers through you hair. Lifting stray strands that are stuck to your forehead and pushing them back off your face. Drying the beads of sweat that gather on your brow as you run.
You hear your feet thumping on the soft earth as you push yourself into a hard, fast run. The nervous energy built up inside you is released with every step you take, and instead of feeling tired, you feel renewed. Your pent-up anxieties, frustrations, and worries flow out of your body and escape into the earth as your feet touch the ground.
Your heart pounds with with the exertion of propelling yourself forward at such a fast, strong pace. With each thump in your chest you feel more in tune with yourself. You feel each part of your body as your blood warms and pumps into each extremity. Unclouded by unspent energy and worry, you see your surroundings clearer than ever. The grass you run by is greener, the clouds in the sky are crisper.
Under the pounding of your heart, you can hear the sounds around you which before were covered by idle inconsequential thoughts…bird cries, dogs barking, insects buzzing. The world seems alive with noise that you never noticed before. But instead of the sounds overwhelming you with their presence, they renew your energy, calm your mind, and guide your spirit.
