While werewolves live in every corner of the globe, it’s interesting to note that wolves are quite different. Wolf populations – particularly the mighty grey wolf, flourish in some areas, and falter in others. Hunting, eradication by locals, and diseases all can diminish a wolf population to a pack or two – or even eliminate the entire population. Many countries are making an attempt to reintroduce the grey wolf into their countrysides. In some cases they are being successful, in others not so much.
