How have werewolves survived?

There is evidence that werewolves existed even before vampires, so how have they survived over the centuries without becoming extinct? The answer is their ability to blend in with humans. Much of the time they can live among humans unseen. They do not generally go for the flash that vampires like, but rather have learned over time how to become “invisible” to humans by blending in. Something else that has actually worked to their advantage is the humans’ non-desire to believe in anything that they haven’t seen. Humans do not want to believe in werewolves, while this doesnt prevent the werewolf from existing, it does enable them to survive. What a human does not want to see, it usually will not see.

That whole “What a human does not want to see, it usually will not see.” thing totally explains why my last flatmates totally thought I had a large dog living in my room for over a year – despite never once seeing the dog.
