Werewolves on Wheels

While there are a number of fairly good werewolf movies out, there are also some lesser-known oddities. One that I just ran across is a mix between a biker movie and a horror movie. The result is the 1971 B Horror movie Werewolves on Wheels! The movie is about a biker gang (the Devil’s Advocates) who ride Harley motorcycles across the desert. In their riding they come across a Satanic cult who drug them and attempt to turn one of them into the “Bride of Satan” through a Satanic ritual. They are eventually able to escape. Unfortunately their escape is not complete as at least one of them is transformed into a werewolf and attacks the other members at night – and thus we have “werewolves on wheels”!  Who knew they were making werewolf movies in 1971?

We have a show here in Michigan that plays old B Horror movies. Its called “Wolfman Mac’s Chiller Drive-in.” It comes on Saturday nights at 12:00 AM. I saw Werewolves on Wheels on the show. It was okay. I love the show for its skits and maybe the movies. They’re dumb, but funny! Lol!!
