A zombie is a dead body that has been reanimated to give the semblance of life. Typically, zombies are depicted as having some kind of evil purpose – most commonly the purpose is to devour the flesh of live humans. Traditionally they are very slow-moving, listless creatures whose movements seem wooden. Zombies do not typically respond to their former human name, nor do they traditionally display much human intelligence. Zombies are very popular in horror movies, and are often depicted alongside werewolves and vampires (Vampires vs Zombie)as a creature that scares humans.
The belief in zombies does however go beyond the movies, and in some cultures, people believe zombies are real. According to VooDoo (a religion practices by West Indians) for example, a dead person can be called back to the living by a bokor, forming a zombie.

One way to kill a zombie is to feed them salted foods. The salt makes them realize that they are dead, and they will go back to their appropriated graves.

THis is a very interesting question… yes there are, hybrids are very much possible. Think about when a werewolf dies, or a werepire dies… there are conditions under which they might become a zombie.
