Zombie Songs, Zombie songs, Everywhere! OMG!

How many Zombie songs can you name? Did you even know that there are alot of songs about or featuring Zombies?

People can only wonder why there is such an obsession with Zombies, Vampires, and Werewolves! But even since antiquity humans have been looking for an escape from the norm, whether it be in human/animal anthropomorphic form or through shamanistic activity that results in the belief of an intricate realm. Humans love to feel detached from themselves without having to feel regret or shame.
And so escaping to these creatures has become part of our culture. Not because you think you are a zombie, werewolf, or a vampire, but because even for just a moment a normal human being can get caught up in an alternatre reality to escape the trials of the real world.

Here are some of the TOP SONGS about zombies; sometimes these creatures are not meant in a literal sense but rather as a symbolic meaning. (In no particular order)

Zombie Nation by Kernkraft 400

Zombie by Cranberries isn’t really about “zombies” in the horror movie sense. It’s actually about the killing of 2 children in an IRA bombing in Warrington, England during The Troubles. (The Troubles was a period of ethno-political conflict in Northern Ireland that spilled various times into England and occured from the late 1960s to about 1998)

    People are kind.
    Death is to long.
