99 Flying Wolves

This wolf exhibit was made in 2004 for an exhibit at the Deutsche Guggenheim Museum, and was on display in 2006. The exhibit was called “Head On” and showcased 99 wolves in different poses running in a tight pack towards a clear glass wall. The effect of the exhibit is absolutely amazing.

For anyone wondering, these were not real wolves, but rather life-sized replicas made to look realistic…they are made with hay, metal wire, and plastic.

The exhibit was by Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang and was meant as a nod to the trajedy of the Berlin Wall, and was intented to signify people who were unable to to break the Wall down.
