Friday the thirteenth full moon tonight! Next one happens in 2049!
Happy Friday the 13th! If you don’t have Paraskavedekatriaphobia (a fear of Friday the 13th) yet, well, today is a good day to start! Today is turning into quite a show for those already superstitious!
Tonight’s specialness starts with the Rare even of having a full moon on Friday the 13th!
Yes, tonight is a Full Moon on Friday the 13th. In fact, the next full moon on Friday the 13th doesn’t happen until 2049!!
That means if you miss this one, you’ll have to wait another 35 years until you get a chance to witness another full moon on a Friday the 13th!! The last time this happened was 14 years ago – Friday, October 13, 2000. So what does this mean? In short: Today’s event is rare, so don’t miss it! And if you already are superstitious, well, tonight just might be the night to stay inside….
Then there’s the extreme solar activity!
As if the Friday Full Moon combo wasn’t enough, NASA is already monitoring some extreme solar storms that have been brewing this week. The sun is sending up flares and bursts – so strong that GPS satellites have been disrupted!
It looks like Friday, June 13, 2014 is going to be one to remember, and a night that many werewolves will find an irresistible lure to go out into.
And a word of warning to those superstitious humans less strong of heart – it just might be worth it sitting this one in tonight. 😉
